Delete Shortcut Virus

when inserting USB to someone's computer, it is often seen that after removing the flash and again plugging in to PC it contains shortcuts that is not ending, not matter how many time you format the USB flash. So, here's the method to manually remove the short cut viruses from USB.
Follow below steps to remove the Shortcut virus:

1. Open command prompt: click start and type cmd  and then press Enter.
2. type the following command

      > attrib -h -r -s /s /s X:\*.*

where X is USB drive letter(it could be D,E,F,J,H...etc)

Note: after executing this command make every folder will be shown, It is recommended that you should make backup of your data to avoid any data lose.

     3. Change the directory to USB drive,type following command

      > cd X:

where X is the USB drive letter(it could be D,E,F,G,H..etc)

     Or simply type

     > del X:\*.inf

     >  del X:\*.lnk

     Or you can manually delete shortcut files by opening drive and delete autorun files first and then shortcut files.
